Check Cashing, Unable to read the numbers at the bottom of check. (SV4)

This has happened a lot to me but I'm finally making a post about it here.

At least once a month, I cannot cash a check due to an error that says "We're sorry, we are unable to read the numbers at the bottom of your check. Please try again. (SV4)"

And I can try an infinite number of times with X amount of time between tries and it will give me this error for periods of days. I know it's not a check problem since I cash the same payroll check every week. I know it's not my device (tbf I don't have another I can try it on) because I've updated, reinstalled, restarted, cleaned the lens, and even asked it kindly to read the numbers better.

What I want to know is if this is a distraction error or is the problem actually that it cannot read the text?

I shouldn't have hit a limit to how much I can use the feature per month as it's only the third week and I earn less than $500 on my check and I've had months where it works every week with a full 40 hour check.

Is this error just a distraction so that users don't know that the service is down or they've hit a limit?

This happens to me all the time. I add my sister's utility check to my PayPal and let her use my account to pay her utility bills and every month I have to keep trying repeatedly. Did you find a solution?
