Disappearing money

So I got a 272 dollar charge on my bank account 2 days ago. It says PAYPAL*brother visa direct caus. On my bank statement it was sent to my brother's PayPal account, and it was done at 10:24am. On my paypal transactions tgere is absolutely no record of a charge being made to my bank account, or that any payment had been attempted. I grabbed his phone and checked his paypal account transactions, he had recieved 265 on the 6th at 10:24am. But this was from a different account. He never recieved the money from me, on any account linked to his paypal. Paypal is saying it never happened, and my bank statement/account amount definitely show the money being removed. What I don't get is where did it go and why did this happen?

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some confusion with a recent charge to your bank. Based on what you've described and when the charge transpired, it sounds like your brother added funds to his account from your bank either by just Adding Money or by charging your debit card / bank through another PayPal account.

I would recommend working with your brother to refund the transaction if that's the solution you're looking for. Best wishes with this and future transactions,
