Fitbit recall refund

Hi all. There was a recall of the fitbit Ionic and I was notified that there is a 299USD refund that has been sent to me. I never had a PayPal account , but gave them my email address. I was told to create a PayPal account using that email and then the funds would be available. I have done so, however my PayPal account is showing a nil balance . Is there anything I still need to do for the funds to reflect ? Thanks so much

I had the same issue, but now have resolved it.
Although Fitbit told me to expect the refund to be processed via Paypal, it was handled by a separate company, where I have been allocated a gift card credited with the full amount.

The email from Fitbitionicrecall includes a redeemption code and a link that takes you to b4bpayments .com. Initially I tried just entering the redemption code, as prompted, on this screen, which just gave an error response. But I spoke to B4Bpayments support, who told me to follow the cardholder login link where I found a card loaded with my refund.
So it looks ok. They say it can be used anywhere that accepts Mastercard. I haven't tried spending it yet though!

I called on [removed] again today to check my previous call status. I was told it's escalated internally and should hear back soon. Still waiting 😞

Thanks for your response. I am also having similar issue. Updated my KYC on Paypal and going to contact Fitbit. I will share the updates here as soon I receive a response.

I contacted Fitbit by phone, using a UK phone number that I found via their web site.

I got email from PayPal but there was no link b4bpayments .com, this might not be for India users.
