Hi, I work as a virtual assistant and the company that I work for is using Paypal as their payment.

My first two payment was put on hold for 21 days. The company that I work for is using Paypal as their payment for their employee. How can I fix this when the company is using Goods and Services type of payment? I need my money immediately and the Paypal assistant is asking a proof of business so that he can manually release the money.

Try marking the transaction as processed then the sender may have the option on their account to mark the transaction as delivery/satisfied. If the sender confirms this by clicking on the "Confirm Receipt" button, funds may be released sooner ie 7 days after the sender verifies receipt. This is not always available or guaranteed.
If not then sadly its 21 days.

I have the same issue now, and my employer said he received an email on the status change but no option to confirm receipt. I don't understand.

Hello @pog711

Welcome! Thanks for joining the PayPal Community Forum. I understand how it can be a bit concerning when your transactions are placed on hold. Just to make sure you've covered all your bases, here's the Help Center article on How to release your payment holds. If those steps don't help or don't apply to your payment, there's a chance the payment may still remain on a 21 day hold.

I hope that helps!
