Hotel room incidental fee still pending.

on July 3, 2022 I stayed at a hotel for a few days. I used my paypal debit card to pay for both the room and the incidental fee. I had no idea that when I paid for the incidental fee that it was still pending even after I had already checked out two days later on July 5, 2022. it has since been over a week and 6 business days and it seems to still be pending on the first night when I paid as if the payment was never fully accounted for by paypal. I called the hotel and they said they had received the fee and promptly refunded it when I checked out. ive tried to contact customer service both on the paypal message app and on the phone and all I can get is automated messages and no actual help. So if any actual live person is willing to give me some kind of insight or help that would be great because I would like my money back.
