How are invoice fees calculated?

I have a personal account and decided to give the invoices a try for collecting money for some patches I made for my friends.  How can I figure out what rules are being applied to calculate the fees PayPal is charging me on the invoices?  For example, I'm seeing an $0.84 fee on a purchase of $10.00 (8.4%), and then a $1.19 fee on a purchase of $20.00 (5.95%).  Looking through the fees page I can't see where either of those percentages are coming from, so is there anyone who can help break this down for me?

Hello @RadioDoc13

Welcome to the Community!

I'm sorry you're having trouble determining what fees may have been applied. I recommend referring to our Help Center and the Merchant Fees Page. It looks like you're from the United States, so I'll outline what fees I think may have impacted you. The fees on your transactions were most likely a percentage plus a fixed fee based on the currency. For example, if you receive a payment from someone who sends the payment in USD and is also in the United States, you'll have a 3.49% fee plus a fixed fee of $0.49. However, if someone is from another country, the international fee is 4.99% (3.49% + 1.5% for international) plus a fixed fee based on currency.

I hope this helps!
