How do I cancel/ get a refund for pay in 4

Hey so I went on Amazon and was trying to buy something and the pay in 4 option came up and once I went through everything, I decided to just back out and pay normally. After that, I checked my bank and I still got charged for the pay in 4 when I didn't even use it. How can I get my money back and cancel the pay in 4.

Hi @ShaneFerrin,

Welcome to the PayPal Community and thank you for your post!

I am sorry to hear what has happened. I know this must be concerning. Firstly, I would suggest you check to make sure where the charge came from. PayPal is currently not a payment option on Amazon. Therefore, you would not have seen the option to pay using PayPal Pay in 4 on their website.

Secondly, when you attempt to make a payment, the amount can be temporarily charged to your bank/card. This is an authorization charge.

As you did not complete the purchase, the merchant will not complete the order. Therefore, the temporary charge will be removed from your bank within 72 hours. This is normal practice for online payments, so no need to be worried if this happens again.

I hope this helps!

I just checked PayPal and it still says that there are 3 more upcoming payments for the 3 remainder payments.
