How do I send money with my PayPal Balance?

Hello! I want to send money to my friend with paypal balance but paypal is asking me to choose a payment method which i chose my debit card but I am scared to send it because i don't know if paypal is gonna take my paypal balance or charge my debit card I don't want to take the risk, so I am here to verify if I am sending money to my friend and my selected payment method is my debit card but I have money in my paypal balance will paypal take money from my paypal balance and send it to my friend or will they charge my debit card?

Are the funds in your balance cleared and not pending?

Are the funds in the correct currency that the recipient accepts?

Have you done this >>>

Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your preferred way to pay and put a dot in the balance option so it shows up when you go to send the funds and you can select it.
