I am on the verge of setting up an online shop to sell art prints via PayPal. The first thing I have to do to set up a payment page for customers is (quote) ‘enter the email address where the payments will be sent.’ The example given includes the name paypal, but the email address attached to my PayPal account is my standard personal email address. It doesn’t have ‘paypal’ in it. So I’m confused. My question is, do I simply put my usual personal email address in the box provided on the shop setup up page?
Apologies is this is obvious to everyone but me.

hello @McLaw , the paypal email address is the email address you use to create your paypal account.
this address must be confirmed.
and you can also add up to 8 email addresses on the paypal account. they must also be confirmed.
When someone says to you "give me your PayPal email address" it means, give me your PayPal account 🙂
it is understood that this email is linked to an open PayPal account.
Am I clear in my explanation?
( English is not my native language )
When you register an email address, we automatically send you an email to that address. To confirm your email address:
Click on the confirmation link in the email.
Enter your PayPal password.
Click Confirm my email address.
If the link does not appear in the email, you can request a new email directly from your PayPal account:
Go to your Settings.
Click Edit next to the email address you want to confirm.
Click Confirm this email address.
Let yourself be guided.
Once the new email address is confirmed, you can set it as the primary address to receive all your PayPal notifications. Here's how:
Go to your Settings.
Click Edit next to the email address.
Check the box "Make this email address the main address for receiving notifications".
Click Change email address.

Thanks for that, jmarc.
I think that what you’re saying is that the personal email address I use for all PayPal transactions is the one to use when setting up an online shop.
My confusion came from the ‘how-to-set-up-shop’ video that suggested that my PayPal account address should actually INCLUDE ‘paypal’. You’re saying that I don’t need that, I think.

I don't know this video, I think paypal is used on it, instead of email. otherwise people would copy the address to display 🙂

OK, I'll go with my usual email address and hope it's the way to go.
Thanks for your thoughts!
