I purchased an item from Persilux. I noticed they only had PayPal as a form of payment. I click on PayPal and the payment was approved. My question is how? I did not enter any information such as a cvc or login or anything. Is there a place in the system that I can turn this off? This was a little to easy for someone to receive my funds.

Hi @crbeaugard,
Thank you for your post!
I am sorry to hear what has happened. I know this must be concerning. I can assure you that you would always be required to login to your PayPal account to complete a payment.
PayPal is a secure payment processor. This means you must login every time to make a purchase. If you were not prompted to login, then you would have had to manually enter your card information on the merchants website. If you have used this merchant before, your card may have been saved as an option with them.
I would suggest you check your PayPal Activity page. If you cannot see the transaction, then this would mean that your PayPal account was not used to make the purchase. This would explain why you were not prompted to login.
If you have any further concerns, please don't hesitate to contact our Customer Support. To contact us, simply click here. Alternatively, you can contact us via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/PayPal or Twitter @AskPayPal.
I hope this helps!

I received your response and I rejected it because I said it my previous message I did not enter any information. I clicked the PayPal button and I received a 'payment received' instantly. I have never shopped at this site before. My daughter has shopped at Shein and she said the same thing happened to her the day after my incident even though she has a two step authentication setup. I am not sure what is happening but this might be a unit test issue that has been discovered. The transaction did show up and I hope I receive my item. I do not pay for anything with PayPal login since my information years ago was compromised after I did it. I just clicked the button hoping for an option to enter my credit card info and to my surprise I received the payment successful confirmation page.
Thanks

This has just happened to me as well. I made a purchase on Ancestry.co.uk, opted to pay by Paypal and the payment was instantly confirmed without asking me to log in. I am now extremely concerned since the moderator here has stated that this is not possible. I have used Paypal on Ancestry before so this suggests that they have had access to my log in details.
