Hi, new to this community. I received a small amount of US dollars into my UK PayPal account yesterday. I wanted to transfer it to my Revolut USD account to avoid PayPal's hopeless exchange rate, so I linked to my Revolut card, which then caused all sorts of security issues. Once I had jumped through all the hurdles to unrestrict my account I tried to transfer the money and the transactions were denied. Customer services were hopeless - 20 minute gaps between answers and then silence.
The system allows me to go right to the final step, even telling me it's fee free, before stating "something went wrong". This itself is a garbage explanation. Surely at that point the customer should be told why the transaction is blocked? Anyway I don't want to try again in case it starts flagging up in the system and my account has limits put on it again.
Solutions/suggestions/answers gratefully received.

The only thing I can think of to try is to leave the account alone for several days. Don’t even log in. Then log in to try to transfer again. Or better yet, contact customer service and ask to set the Revolut card to USD (refer to the last 4 digits of the card you want to set) before trying the transfer. By default linked cards are set to GBP or your account opening currency as PayPal does not know what currency the card is.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thanks for that. I just checked my Revolut card link on paypal and realised I had set the currency to USD only, so I'll leave it for a few days and have another try. Also worth noting that customer services tried to push me towards Xoom.com, which just happens to be owned by PayPal and would, of course, incur a fee.
