PayPal have taken money to pay TUI but holiday not booked as systems down? How do I cancel?

I have been trying to book a holiday with TUI and it keeps saying their systems are down yet I have been charged from my bank by PayPal? The holiday is not booked.. how do I get it back? Thanks

Is it showing on your paypal account and if so what does it say next to it ie pending / awaiting authorisation / payment etc etc.

It is saying awaiting authorisation but has been taken from my bank account?

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.

If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
