Payment holds, shipping and delivery confirmation

Please my friends send me funds as goods and services and the funds was put on hold. So I searched ways to make release faster and I went ahead to mark the transaction as shipped! Now I’m being told that my money will be released within a day after delivery confirmation. I don’t see anywhere to confirm delivery and I told my friend to check his account to see if there’s where to confirm the delivery/received but he said he couldn’t find that. Please how do I go about this and how can my friend inform PayPal that he has received/ confirmed delivery?

Same for me tho mine says that it will be September 24 and I am still waiting till this hour but it does say this 

"You have successfully updated shipment information. You’ll get your money within 1 day of delivery."

Exactly what it told! I didn’t buy anything truly i was just looking to make the funds available faster. Now I don’t know how my friend can actually confirm delivery

You don't have the friends/family option in your country, read this link as you are in one of the affected countries.

With payments received for tangible goods Paypal would request valid tracking information confirming the item has been delivered to the buyer. They can validate the tracking information online, so once it is delivered they can release the funds. IF you have received the funds for a service / virtual or digital sale or no tracking number is applicable Paypal would be unable to release the funds any sooner than 21 days.

However If you mark the transaction as processed then the buyer sender may have the option on their account to mark the transaction as delivery/satisfied. If the buyer sender confirms this by clicking on the "Confirm Receipt" button, funds may be released sooner ie 7 days after the buyer sender verifies receipt. This is not always available or guaranteed. 
If not then sadly its 21 days.

How can my friend confirm the tracking code when he go to the details on the payment it says sent please answer asap
