Payment missing only appear in notification and not exist in activity

I tried to buy a product on Etsy and the seller set only accepts Paypal.

I placed my order this morning but I haven't finished it. however, when I checked my bank statement I found that I've been charged even though the transition was just in process. I only can find the record in the notification. I couldn't find it on the activity. I want to know how to tackle this condition. Is there anyone have the same experience?

I complete the order in the afternoon. The transition shown here is the second one.

If it’s no longer appearing in PayPal Activity, the authorization has expired and dropped off as if the transaction never happened.

You haven’t been charged technically, it’s an authorization hold on the funds until merchant completes the transaction, if at all.

Since you didn’t complete checkout the hold will expire on it’s own and disappear which is exactly what happened. That notification will eventually disappear too.

You should also watch for the pending authorization at your bank or card to drop off too. If it don’t, ask your card or bank to void authorization for you if it is still pending beyond 30 days.
