Payments to the Microsoft Store are being declined?

Greetings!

I have a copy of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and, periodically, I make purchases via the online store.  This is something I have done several times over the last month or so as I customize aircraft or scenery.

Yesterday, I tried to make two purchases, each of one plane. (for whatever reason, they don't have a "basket" so I have to make each purchase individually).

I bought one aircraft and the transaction went through smoothly.  A couple of minutes later I tried to buy a second aircraft and no-can-do, the payment is "declined".  Repeated efforts after waiting various amounts of time resulted in the same outcome.

OK, I'm game.  Things happen and it's just the way it is.  It's probably a glitch somewhere so I'll try again tomorrow.  Then later that day, I made a purchase from VATSIM, also using PayPal, it went through like a champ!  Tried Microsoft again and - Zzzzt!  No good.

Today, (a day later), after an upgrade to Windows 10 and my Firefox browser, (and a stone-cold reboot), I opened up Microsoft Flight Simulator again and tried to purchase that same aircraft - and I am STILL getting declined with nothing but a cryptic code to guide me.

At this point I don't know who, or what, to ask.

Oh, and please don't ask me to contact PayPal support, that is unless I am going to get a real person or a real chat as the existing chat-bot does nothing but send me to the same "why my payment was declined" page over and over again.

Thanks for any help you can provide!

Jim

Hello @jharris1993

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! I'm sorry to hear you're running into some issues purchasing an aircraft on your Flight Simulator. Have you double-checked which preferred funding source is setup with this billing agreement to make sure it's the right one? If it's the right card, I'd make sure that Card is confirmed as well. After that, you may want to try cancelling any active billing agreements for this merchant and resetting it back up by attempting another in-game purchase. It's most likely the Microsoft billing agreement, but you should be able to find which one you would want to cancel by looking back in your history for the last time a purchase like this was successful.

I hope one of those tips do the trick, good luck!
