Personal account treated as a seller account

My account is being treated as a seller account, even though it is a personal account.

I am not allowed to send or receive money from my friends and it keeps telling me that I have to wait 21 days to actually receive the money.

Anything I can do?

You can sell on personal or business accounts. How the funds are sent to you decides whether its a selling transaction or not.

If you are selling something then regardless of account type the sender or buyer would use the goods/services option OR you could send a money request or invoice. You would also be subject to the new seller hold as per link below.

You would also pay a paypal fee.

However if you are not selling and you are receiving a gift of money from friends or family then the sender should use the friends/family option.

Then you would not have a hold or pay a fee. The sender may pay a fee dependent on how they 'fund' that payment.

However if you are selling goods or services its against paypal rules to use that option.
