There was an refund completed transaction on my Paypal account on 22 Nov, it was for an payment which had been made back to 2020. And after 30days, there are still nothing showing in my bank statement.

Paypal support keeping saying the same things over and over again, telling me "the refund has been sent", "please contact your bank with the given trace number", "we can't do more anything more than that at this point", while my bank is telling me there is nothing had been sent from you guys. And those kinds of conversations was kept repeated for multiple times over this week.

So I just wonder, if anyone here experienced the same thing as me and how you can solved, because I don't excepted PayPal will do anything further than that after they only reply me the same thing over this week.

Hello @idolater951,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and Thank you for the post!

I understand that you're worried about the refund on the account. Generally, all refunds will be sent back to the payment method of your original payment. If you've used your bank to complete the transaction, then your refund will go to the same bank. It may take up to 5 business days for the refund amount to appear in your bank account. Once's the refunds show as completed then the bank is responsible, and we'll not be able to trace it. If the refund shows as completed on the activity page, you can contact the financial institution to let them know you've received a refund to that account and discuss disbursement options with them. If you still do not see the refund on your PayPal activity page, kindly reach out to our customer support team and ask them to review your account and help you accordingly with the refund. Please accept my apologies for the trouble with refund, I know that this process may be frustrating.

Best Wishes,
Ayesha
