Refund to prepaid card help

I had used a prepaid GC as a source of funds in my PayPal wallet.  Recently, I exhausted the remainder of the balance on the card making a purchase and deleted the card from my wallet and physically threw it away,  I ended up having to return the item purchased and I was given a refund to my PayPal account.  I was hoping those funds would just go to my PayPal wallet but it appears they went back to the prepaid GC.  I no longer have that card and it isn't in my wallet on PayPal either.  Can I have those fund transferred to my PayPal wallet or is there a way to restore the GC to my wallet so I can use it again?  I can't manually re-enter it as I no longer have the physical card.  Thanks for your help!

Hello @cvanourny

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I can understand your concern regarding that recent refund. As we send all refunds back to their original funding source, Unfortunately, PayPal wouldn't be able to get back those funds once that refund has started. I would recommend working with the prepaid gift card company to see what options you may have available. If you had registered that card with your information on the card's site, they may potentially be able to look it up with your information. You may be able to see the last four digits of the card in your PayPal transaction details, but PayPal would not be able to provide you the full details of the card.

Good luck and best wishes,
