Refunds, how do I do it?

Hi, I've sent an item and been paid via goods and services at the buyers insistence. Its arrived and is broken. I sent it insured, and am claiming against the courier, but want to refund the buyer while I wait to be fair to them, as it can take up to 28 days and I do t think that they should havectonwsitvthat long. My question is, do I refund the full amount they paid including the fees, and also, how do I refund? Do I just send the money back or is there some other way of refunding? I'm worried if I just transfer the money they may still claim against me?

They can't claim if you use the refund option as per link.

The refund link is at the bottom of that details page after you have clicked on the transaction.

Your fee is not returned as part of any refund made so if you don't have the full amount to refund in your balance the refund may be part funded via your bank account.
