Hi - I have an Australian Paypal personal account, and one of my linked bank accounts is my HSBC Global account, which has money in USD.
When I want to pay someone in USD and choose this account, it always forces me to draw AUD from my account, and use Paypal conversion rate.
I do not want to convert my AUD to make the payment, as I already have USD that I want to use.
I've asked support, and had 3 responses which did not help.
I have USD set as my primary paypal currency. That seems only to allow me to send money out in USD, and not put money in, in USD.
If I select my mastercard, I get an option to not use the Paypal conversion, but use my bank conversion instead. This would then charge my m/card in USD, and I'd have to use the bank conversion rate and pay their fee.
This option is not available if I select my HSBC account, which already has USD in it.
As I already have a bank account with USD, I'd like to use that when paying in USD.
