So i bought call of duty game from battle.net with my paypal. But whrn i checked in my paypal transaction, the transaction type is written authorization in progress, is not as usual. Usual its written automatic payment. So what does "authorization in progress" mean?

When you pay a company (rather than an ebay seller or individual), then it is often pending until that company processes your order and captures the pending payment.
If they don't process that order and capture the pending payment then the pending status times out at 30 days post-payment.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

It means you have given authorization or agree to pay and the seller has to capture/complete the transaction on their end. Then the transaction status will switch to “Completed”. This is the two-step payment processing. The default instant, one step process is what most are used to where the authorization and capture of funds happen at the same time, instantly.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Hi @Ryan1892,
Welcome to the PayPal Community!
I understand you have made a payment that shows as 'Authorization'. This means that the seller hasn't fulfilled your order or taken the payment from your account yet.
Some sellers wait until they ship the item accepting the payment. Contact the seller and ask for an update on your order. If they're unable to assist, or don't respond after 30 days, we can void any orders and authorizations from your account.
I hope this helps, have a lovely day!
-Rebecca.
