Wrong country chosen, but money already on hold. Information to open account not applicable

Hey,

 

I am a German citizen, but due to me staying in the U.S. I don't have a SSN nor any other residential information.

When opening this account, I must've accidentally chosen to have a U.S. account or PayPal assumed it because of my American phone number.

I already got money on hold but cannot accept it because I don't have said information and I cannot close this account because there's money on hold.

I do not have an American bank number either.

How can I resolve this?

I'm sorry to hear your recent payment is on hold. Depending on the type of payment hold, different information may release the payment into your balance. If PayPal is asking to provide a SSN or other residential information, it may be linked to some kind of limitation. I'd recommend reaching out to our Customer Support teams by clicking "Contact" at the bottom of any PayPal page to see what options may be available since you're unable to provide the requested info.
