fees to transfer from US personal account to Hungary personal account?

Wife is in Hungary and needs $3000 transferred to her Hungarian bank from our US bank.

First question is can this be done between these two countries?

Second question is what would be the fee? My read of the website says 5% up to $5 max. Correct?

Third question is about currency conversion and is multipart:

• Is the currency conversion step a PayPal thing or a bank thing?
• If it's a PayPal, then is there an option to select for the transfer to occur in USD or HUF? Is one preferred over the other?
• If the conversion is a PayPal thing, is there a conversion fee?

You can send funds from one paypal account to another so ie from your paypal account to her paypal account.

Make sure you use the friends/family option and that would be cheaper if you fund it via balance or bank account and not card.

Fees are in the user agreement for your country and also the currency conversion fees.

Or if you want to send it straight to her bank account consider xoom?
