how to avoid fees in sending money to family

I want to send money to a family member. How can I avoid fees? Do I need to link a baank account?

Friends/family payments are free to send as long as you fund it via funds in your balance OR a bank account.

You pay a fee if you use a credit card.

Advice is voluntary.
