Abe Books order - 670785926.

I am receiving requests for payment on a book I intended to purchase from Abe Books. Due to internet issues I was unable to complete the purchase. I changed to a different seller and received the book I sought. As I did NOT receive the book from Abe I believe I am not obligated to pay for an item I did not receive. How do I terminate the request for a payment?

I appreciate your reply but my concern is that 'can they damage my record with PayPal?

Hi @Deefor__, 

Thank you for your post and welcome to the PayPal Community Forum! If the payment was not actually initiated or it failed, you are not beholden to complete the transaction. It sounds as if the merchant's system assigns an order number before the transaction is complete. The merchant should cancel on their end so it can be sold to another buyer.
