All of a sudden I can't pay for online purchases using my balance.

Howdy! Yesterday, I was shopping and chose to pay using PayPal. When I was directed to checkout and pay, I wasn't able to select 'use balance' or whatever the words are (I can't see them anymore), and I was forced to pay using the associated credit card on file.

I searched in my account high and low and can't find anything that looks looks responsible for this issue.

Any help would be super.

This applies to eBay transactions.  Instead of paying with my balance, my checking account is used. My default payment option is PayPal Balance.

Did eBay make this change? Under Automatic Payments, eBay is showing as Inactive.

I'm not using eBay. I was shopping on a website that I regularly buy from. Same for others. I just click the 'use balance' or whatever and go about my merry way. For some reason that link to change the payment source is missing.
