Anyone else experience poor information on when you will receive your money?

I transferred money from my business Paypal to my personal. Dumb move I realise now. When making payment, I did not see that it would have such a delay. After chatting to support they say a few days, then status changed an it was another few days, then another few days. I asked to cancel it, and they said I could have if I did it sooner and its too  late  and it is now another 21 days before I get my money. I asked to change the transfer from services to family as it was from me (business Paypal account) to me (personal Paypal account). I was told from the UK support that its possible, but the Neatherlands support says no.

21 days means my money will be in my account to be used the day before Christmas!

I am so irritated by Paypal support. Why did they not suggest things that could help me, why do they keep giving me poor advise on when the money will be in and the dates keep moving.

If you sent the funds using goods/services then paypal would view your personal account as being new to selling and so apply the 21 days hold as per links.

You should have used the friends/family option and then you would have received your funds instantly.

Unfortunately you can't ''change'' a payment type after you have sent the funds.

Not sure why Paypal support is to blame, you were the one that selected the wrong option when you sent the funds.

Well as a customer I think that's an awful answer. When making the payment I did not see mention of that. And when chatting to support they did not mention that until the day I get told 21 days. So that's pretty terrible service right there. Before that I get getting told a date then it's pushed further away, then further away then suddenly another 21 days. Imagine all business operated like this. Say you will have the money in your account then keep changing the date.

Why would you send a business payment to your personal account anyway?

Surely you know you were not buying something from yourself???

If you didn't know which option to use then come here and ask OR contact customer services.

But its unfair to blame paypal because you used the wrong option to send the funds.

So in your mind, when customer service said it would be in my account in 5 days and it wasn't, that it's great service. Then after that they said another 5 or 3 days and its wasn't, that that's fine. Then they said 21 days now, and that's great service? Then support said if I wanted to I could have returned it if I had done it sooner is also great service. For me, on the first interaction I would expect a far more accurate expected date and then it would be fine. But to keep changing it is not good service. Or how about this crazy suggestion, when the payment is made and the expected date of arrival is displayed and its kept. Not changed 3 times. I would be a loon to always come on here each time I need to make a payment to ask. Besides my payment is going to take far more than 21 days because it's already been about 14. I have used other platforms and they are far more accurate and support is on the ball.
