What the question says.
I'm thinking of linking my paypal account to a service which I expect will make small, irregular, un-invoiced payments to my account, and I'd like to understand how that will work. Would the injected money simply linger in my paypal account? Or would it automatically be transmitted upstream, into my linked bank account? Do I need to do anything to make the system work this way?

Funds would stay in your paypal balance until you chose to withdraw them as per link.
