Can someone explain the fees to me? It makes no sense. We received $100 but it showed up as $94.52 in our PayPal account, meaning the fee was $5.48. Everything I have read online seems to indicate it is a 3.49% fee plus an additional fixed fee of $0.49, meaning it should have been a $3.98 fee leaving us with $96.02 in our account. Am I missing something?
I have seen the fees page. It doesn't add up. It's a 3.49% fee plus a fixed fee of $0.49 making it $3.98. I talked to someone at PayPal. He said the extra $1.50 was added as a "cross border fee", which makes no sense. The payment came from within the states.
