Can't dispute pending transaction?

Why can't I dispute a pending transaction? I was charged by Audible. I don't have an account with Audible. I'm trying to dispute it but it's still pending and it won't allow me to dispute it.

Check if you had a subscription set up.
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''

If not then if the payment stays in pending then it will time out at 30 days and go back to you, earlier if the seller or merchant voids it.

If it completes then you can open a dispute for non receipt of item OR item received but not as described OR unauthorised if you did not make the transaction, however you can't open a dispute on pending as no one has been paid yet.
