Cancel pending transaction on pay in 4

I was trying to purchase merchandise with using pay in 4. Somehow, I did duplicate transaction.

Now it is showing two pending transactions with same amounts of charge.

I tried to solve the issue at the resolution center, but it keeps saying that

"We're sorry, you can't file a case on this type of transaction."

Is there any way I can cancel the duplicated transactions?

Hello @Temp20221118D,

Welcome to PayPal Community Forum and thank you for posting!

I understand your concern about the pending Pay in 4 charges. When making a purchase with PayPal Pay in 4, we will place a pre-authorization hold on your chosen card for an amount equal to the initial payment or one-fourth of your total purchase amount. This will show as a pending authorization in your PayPal account activity and also in the bank account of the card linked to your PayPal account. Once you complete your purchase with PayPal Pay in 4 and the merchant gives your goods, the pending authorization will be removed and the initial payment will be withdrawn from your card. If you do not complete your PayPal Pay in 4 transactions, the pending authorization will be automatically voided by PayPal within 72 hours of the pre-authorization hold. Unfortunately, you won't be able to dispute/cancel the pending transactions. If the charge doesn't fall off automatically within a given timeframe, you can report the transaction once it shows as completed by reaching out to our customer support team through the available contact options on our website if you need any help.

Regards,
Ayesha
