Canceled Transfer Cash App to PayPal to be Refunded back. No Resolution

I transferred money from my Cash App account to my PayPal account, but PayPal asked me to accept the payment for some reason. I contacted the PayPal virtual assistant, who suggested I cancel the transaction and get an immediate refund. So, I did, expecting the refund to come back to my Cash App account right away since the money came from there, not from my debit card. Both Cash App and PayPal assured me that I should receive the refund immediately. However, I never received it, and it's not showing in my Cash App account. When I contacted Cash App customer service, they said that their payment processor didn't have a transaction record. When I checked with PayPal, it showed that the transaction was canceled and refunded. I tried to report the issue to the resolution center, but I keep getting a message saying, "Sorry, looks like it's a problem on our end. Try reporting the problem again." This keeps happening and I'm getting very mad! Can someone help?!?

I am experiencing this exact same issue right now!  It's been since August 30th, and still not funds.  I keep getting the same responses from both Paypal and Cashapp. 

Was this ever resolved for you?

As much I hate this, I take some sense of pseudo-solace in that fact that this very specific problem isn't just happening to me!

I notice there has been no response from a Paypal rep on this thread as well.

I’m currently having the same issues with a transaction that I cancelled with PayPal that should go back to my Cash App but all I’m getting from Cash App support is the payment has not been returned and PayPal saying that it’s definitely been canceled. My transaction was canceled with PayPal on Oct. 16, 2024 and it still is not showing up in my Cash App balance. Super frustrating!!!

I'm having the same exact issue as well. I transferred over $200 from my cashapp to my PayPal because I couldn't find my debit card to withdraw any money from ATM. A few minutes later I found my card and immediately cancelled the transfer to my PayPal account when I logged in to the PayPal app. THE funds were supposed to be sent back to my cashapp instantly,but the money NEVER made it back! This happened on 11/02/2024 and I've been on the phone with both companies and emailing them both non stop for 2 weeks now trying to figure out what happened to my money. It just doesn't vanish without a trace. PayPal and cashapp both can look up and see where the funds were sent to but refuse to be any sorta help at all. There's a paper trail for sure. PayPal is supposed to be top notch company for protecting our purchases and making sure their customers are 100% satisfied with their purchases and are there to help them get reimbursed if we are not satisfied . I don't know about everyone else but I m not feeling like I'm being helped in every way and any way possible to make sure I'm helped to get my money back. To me it feels like PayPal are the scammers trying to rip us all off of our hard earned money. PayPal isn't trying to protect us from being scammed and getting ripped off by some loser , they are The LOSERS! 😡 DEFINITELY NOT THE COMPANY THEY SAY THEY ARE AT ALL PERIOD. WE ALL NEED TO BAN TOGETHER AND FILE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THESE LOSERS FOR SCAMMING AND STEALING OUR MONEY FROM US , THIER SO CALLED "PROTECTED & 100% SATISFIED CUSTOMERS" !! I CALL B S !!! Only thing I'm feeling is deceived and ripped off.

same here cashapp even provided a retrieval reference number along with more than adequate documentation that the money was held on paypals end. days later cashapp still is trying to help resolve this but pay pal wont escalate it to another department much less even make a claim or case how can a regular support agent at paypal verify critical account \ computed transaction errors okay no way they would have access to that level of access to even verify it its def a paypal issue and my lights are off now so **bleep** paypal I WANT MY <MONEY
