Canceled Transfer Cash App to PayPal to be Refunded back. No Resolution

I transferred money from my Cash App account to my PayPal account, but PayPal asked me to accept the payment for some reason. I contacted the PayPal virtual assistant, who suggested I cancel the transaction and get an immediate refund. So, I did, expecting the refund to come back to my Cash App account right away since the money came from there, not from my debit card. Both Cash App and PayPal assured me that I should receive the refund immediately. However, I never received it, and it's not showing in my Cash App account. When I contacted Cash App customer service, they said that their payment processor didn't have a transaction record. When I checked with PayPal, it showed that the transaction was canceled and refunded. I tried to report the issue to the resolution center, but I keep getting a message saying, "Sorry, looks like it's a problem on our end. Try reporting the problem again." This keeps happening and I'm getting very mad! Can someone help?!?

I'm having the same problem now. This is becoming bigger than they expected. It's time for PayPal to take accountability. You can't hold our funds indefinitely!

<P>Still y'all provided me with information that is the same as I've already had. PayPal is missing my money. Refund missing the transfer from cash app to PayPal is missing and cash app has provided. Andrew can details and documentation. Y'all have my money. PayPal has my money and don't send me another link to the same support that's not working in the first place. I can't even file a claim. PayPal has my money and is withholding it and failing to do diligence in order to help me recover it. I'm a US citizen that work hard for my money and my light bill is passed due and the mistake y'all made and not fixed has already provided the setback you are failing your customers who have invested in your company with their money and trust and this is the result. I've never had an issue not the first fraud or claim. If someone's looks and it l haven't used a resolve it may save someone the same experience because this is ridiculous and it's unfair. y'all should be held accountable and PayPal should reach out and right the wrong. As just stated, all you have to do is reach out to my profile. I'm a US citizen with a US-based cell phone number and I've been here my whole life and I work hard for my money. I have multiple means of contact whether it be my mobile number or my email. I'm not hard to get in touch with so there's no reason that PayPal shouldn't reach out and fix this

Well I’ve seriously contacted PayPal And Cashapp MULTIPLE times with the same response from both services which is they do not have it and to contact the other one and Cashapp even gave me a retrieval reference number to track the transaction but paypal said that that number is no use to them because they don’t use them and to call Cashapp for further assistance. How is this SAME issue happening with this many people and nothing is being done about it. We literally have nowhere else to turn to try to get a solution to what I am now realizing is me being robbed by PayPal and I’m just suppose to sit here and just let it happen. This is ridiculously frustrating and completely unacceptable.

First, after dealing with for over three months, I am convinced (I'm sure like most of you), that this is a PayPal problem.   Their AI driven Ask PayPal Assistant is glitched.  As stated in my previous post, I have been experiencing the exact same frustrating scenarios attempting to recover my money PayPal lost.    Out of sheer desperation, I decided to try call again; of course, expecting the same run-around scripted helpless jargon.   However, I was somewhat surprised to finally be on the phone with some who actually listened and acknowledged that none of this makes sense.  Based on the tons of screenshots and emails I previously sent, he had to admit that it made this should not be happening.  He reviewed all of my transactions to ensure my money hadn't been credited at some point.  Then after a brief hold, he came back with some interesting.  In summary:  Because I canceled the transfer while it was still "processing" the funds never credited to my PayPal balance (pretty everyone here has heard that one).  But it was he said next.  He said, because the funds were never posted to my balance, the system is incapable up refunds.   In other words, cancelling only stopped the process (a process that is still makes no sense to me), but no reversal or refund was executed.   I had presented the screenshot below making it clear that their Assistant stated the funds went to "PayPal Inc on BALANCE".  He again, had to agree, that makes no sense.  With all of that, I knew he was no in a position to press a magic button to make my money reappear.  But more than anyone so far, he actually got that this was a PayPal problem.  I repeated everything back to him just to make sure I was adding what I "wanted" to hear.  And he confirmed" Cancelling the transfer only stop the funds from posting to PayPal.  If funds don't post, they can't be reversed or refunded".

So..... FINALLY, he put a trace on the cancellation to track exactly where those funds are sitting.  I am very moderately hopeful, and will be sure to update the thread with results.
