Do you need to wait for a hold to go away before receiving more payments?

I started selling digital goods and once I got my first payment on my account, the funds were placed on hold. I know this is normal but do I need to wait out the hold to go away or can I still accept payments while some funds are on hold?

You can still accept payments which will go on hold as well until you have done enough transactions that paypal release you from the hold process.

However be very careful selling the items you are selling, read up on seller protection first so you can risk assess your sales.

Thank you for this! I only do graphic designs and illustrations so I don't need any shipment tracking or whatever. Do I have like a limit on how many payments (or how much) I can receive in a day or week? Considering I use proper billing like invoices. The agreement always says PayPal would get suspicious if I earned too fast/too much.

If paypal have not placed limitations on your account then you should be fine as long as you don't accept a VERY large amount in one transaction.

But that is only my opinion if you want to know definitely then give customer services a bell?
