I ordered a product priced at $19.98, plus shipping $8.99 so I was supposed to pay $28.97 Total . When I checked my email box, PayPal posted the purchase for a total of $36.96, indicating an excessive sales Tax of $7.39 ( 37% approx) , which never was shown at the purchase. So, I'm not agree with that and I want to reverse the operation otherwise.

Hello @Brigilstar,
Welcome to the community and thanks for PayPal.
We are sorry to hear that you have charged extra for your order. Sales tax is charged by seller and responsible for collecting the sales tax from buyer at the time of purchase. If you want to cancel the order, kindly reach out to the merchant as once an order is placed, it’s not possible to change the payment amount or number of items purchased. Neither you nor PayPal can cancel an order, but the merchant might be able to cancel it for you. If you need to cancel an order or authorization, please contact the merchant. Also, request you to refer the help centre article to know more details of authorized payment and how to cancel it.
You can check the seller’s contact details:
- Go to Activity.
- Select the payment.
- Use the contact information on this page to contact the seller.
Hope this helps you in resolving your issue!
Warm Regards,
Shradha
