How long is a gas hold?

I bought gas with my PayPal 9/11. I paid inside, because when you pay inside, any amount over is supposed to be immediately released back to your card. In any event, they have three business days to release any temporary holds on your account. It's now 9/18. There is a transaction showing the correct amount of gas purchased, but my balance days $0 because they have not released the hold on the remaining amount. I filed a dispute Saturday morning (after 4 business days), which has been denied: "Based on our investigation, we have concluded no error occurred because a temporary hold of $30.00 on 09/11/2023 was removed and a temporary hold of $7.05 was placed on the account on the same date which will be released back to your account in few days." Has anyone else dealt with this? How long did it take you to get your money back?
