How to obtain support from a real person when someone needs support

I haven't been so frustrated with any other help service as i have been with PayPals.

It is quite unbelievable how difficult it is to get to something that can assist with a problem.

I can't imagine how someone approved the support user experience as "acceptable", "delightful".

Is there a way to actually communicate with someone? or is all just automated prompts and chat bots?

How do i even know the response i get this message is even from the living! at his point i'd expect it to be some bot.

not to mention the amount of images i have to pick int he Captcha "im not a robot"... OMG

As you don't want to ask us for help, then all I can give you is............

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thanks for the reply.

Apologies if my "question" wasn't clear ("Is there a way to actually communicate with someone?"), but you answered the question all the same.

While all the channels you provided below are great, i attempted the traditional methods for real-time interactive support (phone, chat) without any success to connect with someone live. Just additional interfaces with self help menus.  Social channels is not something i use or have access to (no existing accounts with Facebook or Twitter / "X").

What i'm concluding is that i over estimated the brand of PayPal and my expectations of enterprise class, real-time, access to support services when needed. I've lowered my expectations, thereby lowering my frustration, and i guess improved my satisfaction.

However, one would think that a service that deals with enabling online transactions (to buy, sell, and send money) would have enterprise class support!

Thanks again for the guidance and direction.

I've never had an issue getting through on the phone.

However I did try Facebook once, took me 5 minutes to open an account and use that option.

Unfortunately my phone experience wasn't as delightful as yours.

I can't imagine that i should need to open an account on a social platform, learn it, figure out where and how to find support, then ask a question somewhere that might be driven by best effort. Once again, i've reset my expectations of PayPal support 😉

Thanks again!

Open an account on Facebook 5 minutes > put in paypal 30 secs > click to ask a question > another minute.

Total about 6 minutes 30 seconds.

OR you can ask a question on here where other volunteers can nearly always help you and if not then the paypal moderators that work for paypal will surely do so.

Paypal give you the options, if you don't want to or can't use them then that is your issue really.
