About a month ago, I opted to use my Wells Fargo Rewards on a PayPal transaction, which was a total of 16033 points. In other words, $160.33. Wells Fargo declined the transaction, so it was unsuccessful on PayPal, however, Wells Fargo shows the points as an approved redemption, while PayPal says they have no record of this transaction since it never went through. So I’ve been getting sent back and forth from PayPal to Wells Fargo, I’ve spent multiple days, multiple hours, on the phone. I was told give it 1-2 days, then give it 3-4 days, then give it 5-7 days, then to give it 2 more weeks and I swear if I call back and they tell me to give it any more time I am NOT buying it. What the hell am I supposed to do in this situation?? I’ve escalated my calls with both PayPal and Wells Fargo and haven’t gotten anywhere, every time they say to wait longer or to call the other company, next call I make is not going to go well at this point so if anyone has any answers to this PLEASE let me know!
