My 17 year old started a paypal account. He has $105 sitting in the account. But because he isnt 18 and the account is not verified the money is just sitting. Is there anyway for me to get the money for him. These teenagers just open up accts without reading all the requirements. Lastly, how could money even be received into an unverified paypal account?

Hi @ltownsel12,
Welcome to the PayPal Community and thank you for your post!
I do understand your concern with this. When you create a PayPal account, you must be 18 or over. As you son is currently under 18, his PayPal account will be limited and won't be able to be verified.
I would suggest your son send the funds in his PayPal account to a friend or family member. Once he has done this, I would advise him to close his PayPal account. When he turns 18, he can then open another account.
If he has any issues doing this, please advise him to contact our Customer Support. To contact us, simply click here. Alternatively, you can contact us via Facebook https://www.facebook.com/PayPal or Twitter @AskPayPal.
I hope this helps!
