Hi, I have a couple of hundred dollars in both my personal and business account balance, but every time that I try to pay for something, PayPal does not use my balance and just switches to my credit card. Why is this happening? I've tried to email PayPal to report it, but there is never a customer support person available, and I just get bots, and I can't find any way to get in touch. I'm really getting annoyed. Does anyone know how to solve this or how to contact support. I've pressed all the contact options, but it never goes anywhere? Thanks!

To use your balance funds have to be in the same currency as the transaction/purchase you are paying for.
Paypal only converts from banks or cards, if using a balance you have to convert it first yourself.
Also you would need to mark that currency as your primary currency in your paypal wallet plus if you have the option to select a funding source then you can do so here...
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > second down click on update next to your preferred way to pay and put a dot in the balance option.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hello, thanks so much for your kind reply. That explains why I wasn't able to make the purchases, as they were in different currencies. Great, I will follow your instructions. Thanks so much!
