Netspend PayPal is a scam

I purchased a netspend visa (PayPal prepaid) added $500 on it 8/23/24. The manager at the dollar general didn’t tell me to wait a hour and I tried to activate it within minutes . Gets an error to call a number . Call it and I’m told I’m “not eligible for a netspend account “ , who cares !? Anyway I’m then told a paper check would be mailed to me. Last week 9/6 I call and I’m told “no a paper check hasn’t been sent out nor has it been cut yet!” And then I’m cut off several times. It’s 9/11 and I’m on the phone AGAIN on hold for a supervisor! I’m not going for a paper check this time . I have no money and risk losing . They need to place my $500 on my real PayPal account ! They want to send me a paper check AGAIN but they never send the check! This is $500! I’m calling my lawyer if this isn’t resolved today

Likewise, Netspend cardholders can use PayPal to replenish their cards. This requires the user to link both accounts. To link the card, you must log on to the PayPal website, click the wallet tab, and click on the "link a card or bank" tab. After that, click on the "link a debit or credit card tab," fill in your card information, and click the link card button. PayPal may require verification to confirm the card.

In this case, PayPal doesn't charge NetSpend customers fees, and funds added to Netspend accounts are typically available within two to three business days.
