Patreon payment refused

My automatic payment to Patreon failed on 1. August.

The previous month payment went through without a problem.

I have tried re-adding my CC to Paypal and I don't get any errors.

There are also no issues to be seen in the Resolution Center.

Also, my bank is not reporting any issues.

If I retry the payment from Patreon the payment still fails.

Does anyone else have this issue with Patreon payments?

Similarly, my auto pay for Netflix was declined. It looks like my auto pay has been set to Balance. Clicking the edit icon takes me back to the automatic payments list. I have valid payment methods attached to the account. A MetaPay charge was also declined. I cannot get the MetaPay auto pay to load at all to see if it is set to Balance.

i am having this patreon paypal problem now too - its weird, two of the memberships worked and two just refuse to and i have sufficient funds so that is no issue, and i cant find any restrictions on my paypal or bank account.

I also tried just using a mastercard but patreon is unable to validate it - it has the option to send a code to my bank app, but no code ever comes through. I cannot figure out what the issue is here - surely it has to be resting to someting patreon is doing

I finally figured my situation out. All of my automatic payments had been reset somehow to "Balance" as the funding source. Since I don't carry a PayPal balance, they declined. I went through, on the website, and deleted all my automatic payments that showed that, because it wouldn't let me edit them. It errored out. Then I'm resetting each payment up again with the proper funding source. Good luck!
