How to tell if you have a business or personal account and switch both ways and can you get direct deposit via a business account?

You are posting with a personal paypal account. 

If you click on the settings icon next to log out in your paypal account you will either see the 'upgrade' option if you only have a personal account or it won't be there if you have a business account already.

Secondly you can use that option to 'upgrade' to a business account OR you are allowed x1 personal account and x1 business account.

Once upgraded you would need to contact customer services to downgrade again and you are only allowed to do that once.

Direct Deposit is only available for PayPal Balance accounts. It’s not currently available for Business accounts.

A Paypal balance account is just a personal account where you have accepted or received a payment and selected to hold a 'balance' rather than just use the auto-withdrawal option.

I don't have/see a setting icon just log out opinion, made me question whether it was a business or personal account.

I only ask because what a business account they say you can't get direct deposit!?
