PayPal.me payment not credited

Hi, I just made a PayPal account the other day to plan a family vacation type of deal to pool the funds, and I got sent funds from outside of Canada via PayPal.me. They sent proof of sending, and it said it'd be 24-48 hours until it was deposited into my account- issue is that it's now been over 48 hours and I haven't received the payment or any notice of it. Is this 24-48 business day hours or is there something wrong with the payment?

Paypal payments are more or less instant. Even if its an echeque that may take a while to clear it would still show on your paypal account but with pending by it.

Check the email that they used and make sure there were no spelling errors. Also make sure they sent in CAD OR you have added the currency that they sent as a receiving currency on your paypal account. Lastly ask them what it says on their paypal account ie sent / completed / payment / unclaimed / pending etc.

@kernowlass As I said, it was via a PayPal.me link, so the email isn't applicable. They haven't gotten back to me on what the deal is, but they showed me proof that they sent it to my exact link and that it said it'd be 24-48 hours. It was sent in USD, which I can receive.

As i have already said paypal payments do not take 24-48 hours.

If they paid your paypal.me link it would be instant. If it was an echeque then it would still SHOW on your paypal account but with pending by it.

Not sure how they can send proof they sent it if you received nothing !!!
