PayPal transfer to old Cashapp acct I no longer have access to. How do I get a refund?

I received my tax refund thru PayPal. To prevent my ex-fiance from stealing all my money, I immediately transferred all my money to Cashapp. The Cashapp account that is connected to my PayPal is an old account that I no longer have access to & I don't have the physical card anymore. How do I get my money refunded back to my PayPal account?

I understand you accidentally transferred money to a card connected to an old Cash App account. I'm sorry to hear that. In this situation, I recommend reaching out to Cash App. Since it sounds like you have a new account with them, they may be able to transfer the money to your new account. If not, they should at least be able to help you gain access to your old account. If you still haven't received the payment after 14 business days, you can reach out to Customer Support for assistance filing a trace. When we file a trace, it can help us obtain and return any payments that were not deposited correctly into the receiving account. However, if Cash App lets us know the money was successfully deposited into your old account, you would have to continue working with them to access it.
