Payment sent to my account, but collected by someone neither I nor payer have never heard of

A payment was sent to my account, it has not been received. I asked the sender to cancel the transaction but the money has been collected by someone called Colin [removed] whom neither if us has ever heard of. Payer paid in GB pounds, but it was sent to Mr in USD, she couldn't change the currency.

Double check the email address the sender used as it sounds as if it may have contained a typo or spelling error?

If so post back for more advice.

Hi, thanks for your reply. I have seen a copy of the transaction and my email was definitely entered correctly
