Hi, an acquaintance sent me money that she owned me, it was 60EUR but she said she could send me 57 EUR for some changes value from dollars to euros. When she finally sent me the 57 EUR I only received 54 because the paypal fee... shouldn't she pay that fee? can Paypal protect me from this? What should I do to received the total amount of 57 EUR at least? I have texted her, asking what should we do, I know if you send money as family or friends there is not charge but she is new in the system and that why the fee was charged. The problem is that she is not answering...

If you were charged a fee then she did not use the friends/family option but the goods/services option.

Paypal then saw that payment as a payment for goods or services and charged you a seller fee.

You need to get the sender to contact customer services and see if they will refund the fee as a goodwill gesture for her mistake.

Do not use the refund because paypal does not return the fee as part of any refund made.
