Paypal not refunding money in a timely manner, 4 days late already

Why is it that Paypal can manage to withdraw money from a later transaction before it can manage to refund money from an earlier transaction?

They are 4 days late assuming it takes 5 days max to receive a refund. You should as a client not have to guess when you will receive a refund, especially not when your bank account is linked. Not amused and feel someone should put Paypal in their place for needlessly obscuring money, possibly to profit off of it through receiving rent from their own institutions.

When I ask the bot to connect me to an employee no one is readily available, like most of the time, very convenient.

Is it really that hard to refund money in a timely manner, since they definitely do manage to withdraw it in a more timely manner!?

Is it showing as completed yet? If so then............

If you funded the original Paypal payment to the seller from your bank account or a card then once marked refunded/completed it will automatically go back to that bank account or card.
Normally it can take a few days up to a week to go back to a bank account. Paypal say allow 30 days for a card (1 billing cycle) but its rarely that long.
(Can vary according to country though).

If its NOT showing completed but on temp hold or pending then.......

Pending refunds can only happen for two reasons.

1. The seller has issued a refund from their bank account which takes time to process.

2. You funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes.

It does indeed say completed, and has so for quite some time already. It's been 10 days. I've contacted Paypal and they come up with some lame excuses about having to pay in advance to the seller if you have a linked bank account, no words uttered about them managing to withdraw money from the same bank account for transactions that happened on a later date

They never fail to withdraw. How much income have they generated from failing to refund customers, illegally? How much in rent? Pretty convenient having the money sit somewhere in between banks for days and generate money from rent that way, illegally. isn't if funny that you can top up to your Paypal account in a matter of minutes but receiving needs to take days or weeks? Not to mention the weekends in between.

If it showing as completed then paypal have already completed their part and past on the refund to the card company, how long that card company takes to process the refund is dependent on the card type / company / country.
