I made a payment to my Escrow account using Paypal, from Australian dollar (AUD) to USD, and it came back with an error. I looked at my bank account and nothing was deducted immediately.
So I used a different payment method, credit card. That went fine and all was good. Until, hours later, my bank account had been deducted. But because of Paypal fees, the amount was larger than what I had paid through my credit card.
I contacted Escrow, and they said that they received 2 payments and that they will refund the one made through Paypal. Now, will Paypal put back the same amount into my bank account? Or will it depend on what their currency calculator provides when converting USD back to AUD (which is considerably less than what I originally had in my bank account) ?
I feel like Paypal are at fault here, giving me a false error, and then proceeding with the deduction anyway. I don't have a screenshot of the error because I felt it was a genuine one, so I never really thought much more about it other than just using a different payment method.
