Hello @Arabuxx6 and @Wintershu_29,
Welcome to the Community, and thanks for stopping by to ask your question!
I understand you've both been advised that you need to pay an upfront fee to receive crypto, and I'm sorry to hear that. I can confirm, this is not accurate information and is usually a sign of a scam. You can learn more about common scams on our Help Center here. This is a US based Help Center article, but the information applies to everyone. I also suggest reviewing how to determine if an email is from PayPal. @Arabuxx6, from reviewing your profile it looks like you're from Romania. I would like to give a quick heads up that we do not currently offer the option to send or receive cryptocurrency in Romania. Cryptocurrency is a newer feature on PayPal and is currently only available in the United States and United Kingdom right now. If the option becomes available in the future, you'll likely receive an update by email and our website.
I hope this information helps; stay safe!

Hello @Wintershu_29,
Thanks for reaching back out; that's a great question!
I'll be happy to guide you through how to report scammers. If you know the person's email address, you can report an Acceptable Use Policy violation on our website. Here's where you can learn more on our Help Center: What is PayPal’s Acceptable Use Policy and where can I find it? If you don't know the email address, you can still file the report, but please include any contact details that you may have to help us locate an account. Additionally, if you received a fake PayPal email, you could report it by forwarding the email to phishing@paypal.com. Please note that if you report the violation on our website, we will be unable to provide you with any updates regarding the user's account. This includes if the account is shut down (limited). To ensure the safety of all PayPal customers are we are only able to provide account details to the account holder, which would include the result of any reports.
Have a beautiful rest of your day!
